A Different World

What will heaven look like?
I wonder?
Will it be above the earth or the universe?
Who's going to be there besides the angels?
Maybe multitudes coming from every angle
This life is too fragile
People are too afraid to go the extra mile
What is there to be ashamed of?
Hope it's not the man up above
Cause when push comes to shove
Who will you depend on?
911 we dial
Paramedics not showing up on time
Police giving brothers time for not commiting a crime
You better take that as a sign
Everything is not fine
Babies around the globe dying
Mothers and fathers turning themselves in crying
Teenagers cutting out of line
Doing things that get them on Court TV for a murder trial
Alcohol, suicide, and drugs will not get you by
Nobody wants to die, so it's okay to cry
Chances of this world coming to a peace is a lie
Things are about to unfold from what I've been told
Prophecies sending chills and making hearts turn cold
Years become a couple months
Still nothing has been done
Months become a few weeks
And no one wants to speak
Weeks become days
Unaware that he's a cheat
A woman kisses her husband good morning on the cheek
Days become hours
As you see a change in the weather
Life can seem like forever
Hours become minutes
Why won't struggling ever finish?
Minutes become seconds
Dare to take a second chance
And seconds become nothing because someone failed to stand up and do something.
It's a different world out there
So make something happen
Leave your mark for a start

Bio:
Well, I've sort of been in and out of all kinds of churches, because I've gone through so much
in the church. I got saved when I was just 13 years old (I believe 2002) at Second Baptist
Church in Neosho, MO by Pastor Anderson. It was a small church, with about 15 members.
Some kids at this age have no clue about the significance of baptism...but I knew what was
going on because my aunt had talked to be about it and asked me if I was ready. I remember
telling her yes. Plus, I had already went to the Baptism classes and everything. I've been a
christian ever since. I just discovered that poetry was a gift of mines some months ago and I
love it. Writing has always been something that I love to do. Poetry and writing are both good
therapy for me. If you knew me, you'll always see me curled up somewhere with my nose in a
great novel...or a biography. I am a member of New Creation Christian Fellowship
(www.nccfonline.org/); THE most inspirational church ever and I reside in San Antonio, TX. I
love Christ and I am Holy Spirit filled (July 13, 2008). I feel blessed to have my poem posted
on this website. It's an honor...really.

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord,
thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
